Istanbul overcame 131 countries with its population

Belgium, Greece, Australia, Switzerland and Bulgaria are some examples of the 131 countries coming after Istanbul, the city whose population reached the number of 15,067,724 with a growth average of 6.4% each five years, about 907,257 people.

According to the data compilation of Turkey statistics institute and the United nations population fund (UNFPA), Population of Turkey has reached 82,003,882 people in 2018, 18.4% of which forms only Istanbul’s population, the most crowded city in the whole country.

Istanbul is overcoming 131 from a total of 204 countries in the world, listed below according to the UNFPA data:
